It's okay to want this to be easier.

Maybe it's a habit, the anxiety, or a pattern you can't shake. There's a way through it.

No pressure, just a conversation.

Every time you've tried to handle this on your own, you've made yourself a promise and broken it. Half the time you don't even catch it happening until it's already done, it's only afterward that you think, there it is again. At this point the hardest part isn't even the habit itself, it's that you've stopped trusting yourself to follow through.

Or maybe it's not a habit, it's the stress itself. You've tried the things that are supposed to help, and some of them do, for an hour, a day, then something small sets it off again and you're right back to overstimulated. You can name your triggers by now, you've named them a hundred times. Naming them hasn't actually brought your stress level down.

This is where it changes, whichever one brought you here. Hypnotherapy doesn't work by making you understand the pattern better, you already do that part. It works underneath it, so there's finally a beat between noticing and reacting, room enough to actually choose instead of watching it happen again. That's the part that's been missing.

How it works

You don't need to understand hypnotherapy to benefit from it, you just need to know what to expect.

Your first session is 75 minutes. Before we do anything else, I'll teach you self-hypnosis, a tool you can use on your own, in 30 to 60 seconds, any time you need to bring your stress down between sessions. It's yours to keep, session or no session.

From there, every session is built around your story, not a script. When you're in fight-or-flight, the part of your mind that makes change possible is hard to reach, so we start by helping your body and mind settle, then do the actual work of shifting what's been stuck.

How many sessions you'll need is genuinely specific to you, it depends on how long you've been carrying the pattern, among other things. What doesn't change is the goal: you'll know where you're starting from, and we'll know together where you're headed.

About Savannah

I got drawn into hypnotherapy while preparing for the birth of my first child. I wanted something better than the version of birth I'd grown up seeing on TV, and that search led me into training as a hypnotherapist. I ended up staying, eventually working across the business side of the hypnotherapy school I trained with, not just practicing, but helping run the place.

Before any of this, I spent years in civil engineering and operations. It's less of a departure than it sounds, both jobs are about finding where a system is stuck and clearing what's blocking it, so it can do what it was always capable of doing.

I'm a Grace Method Hypnotherapist, and I've been working in this field for eight-plus years.

Frequently asked questions

Will I lose control, or do something I don't want to do?

No. You stay aware and in control the entire time. Hypnosis is a state of deep focus, not sleep, and nothing is done to you, you can't be made to do or say anything against your will.

What if it doesn't work on me? I've heard some people "can't be hypnotized."

Almost everyone can be hypnotized, it just takes willingness, not a special personality trait. If you've ever gotten lost in a book or movie and lost track of time, you already know the feeling.

Is this just a stage-show pocket watch thing?

No, that's showmanship, not therapy. Sessions are conversational and calm, closer to a guided meditation than anything you've seen performed on stage.

What if I get "stuck" in hypnosis?

You can't get stuck. It's not sleep or unconsciousness, you can open your eyes and end the session at any point you choose.

How many sessions will I need?

It's genuinely different for everyone. It often tracks with how long you've been carrying the pattern or the pain point, longer-standing ones can take more time to shift. Rather than promise a number upfront, we'll get a clearer sense together after your first session.
